GENERAL SCIENTIFIC PRINCIPLES
Statistically, there are about five fertile days of a woman’s cycle and they are identified as follows:
The three days preceding ovulation/fertility. Since sperm can live in the womb for 72 hours, sexual contact during this three day period could lead to conception. (See slide image labeled “3 DAYS PRE AND POST FERTILE/OVULATING PERIOD”). image “B”
The two days of actual ovulation/fertility. (See slide image labeled “FERTILE/OVULATING PERIOD”. image “C”
Normally, ovulation/fertility should take place on the 14th day from the beginning of a woman’s monthly cycle. However, wide variations exist in many women’s menstrual cycle. Over the past several decades, it has become more evident that the period of ovulation/fertility frequently varies from 23 to 35 days). Variation can be caused by many things including smoking, stress and nutrition, all of which provoke an alteration in the production of the hormones regulating the endocrine system of the human body.
Based upon studies over the past several decades, and refinement in testing techniques, scientists have verified a direct correlation between the increase of estrogen and the five fertile days of a woman’s cycle identified above. Estrogen is present in bodily fluids such as urine, blood, saliva and vaginal mucous. The effectiveness of the DONNA mini-microscope is based upon the scientific discovery that the estrogen level in saliva, in combination with bodily salts found in such saliva, when permitted to dry and viewed through the DONNA mini-microscope, produces the varying images shown in this brochure.
This discovery led to the invention of the DONNA mini-microscope Fertility Tester. The correlation between the images shown in this brochure and effective fertility/ovulation(determined through ultrasonography with trans-vaginal sound of the ovaries and in particular of the follicle) has been established in 98% of the casesunder examination by a clinical test carried out on 328 woman by the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, utilising the DONNA mini-microscope Fertility Tester.
